The Brown County Senior Citizens

We are proud to showcase the Brown County Senior Citizens Council this month.  The Brown County Senior Citizens Council is located in Georgetown, Ohio and was founded in 1975.  In 1996 The Brown County Senior Citizens Council took over the day to day operations of the developmental disabilities homes owned by Housing Alternatives.  There are currently two (2) homes with seven (7) individuals who receive homemaker personal care and transportation services from Brown County Senior Citizens Council staff.  The staff provide excellent care of the individuals who live in the two homes.    

The Brown County Senior Citizens Council also provides the following services: Transportation, Homemaker Assistance, Respite Care, Passport, Caregiver Support and Private Pay.  Other Services Available are Outreach to Isolated Elderly, Health Screening and Education, Information & Referral, Supported Living, Golden Buckeye Application, Energy Assistance Application, Northern Brown Senior Center, Escort, Telecare, Recreational Trips, AARP Tax Aide and Affordable Housing to Brown County residents who are sixty years of age and older.  The Brown County Senior Citizens Council agency focus on economically deprived, minority, socially isolated, and frail elderly.
