Ohio Valley Adult Day Services, LLC. has been selected as our Showcase Provider of the month.

Ohio Valley Adult Day Services, LLC is owned and operated by Lisa Hensley-Boggs.  Prior to opening Ohio Valley Adult Day Services, LLC, Lisa spent 10 years working for County Agency’s in Clermont, Brown and Hamilton Counties.  While working for these agencies, Lisa gained a wealth of knowledge on all facets of services that the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities offers to families and to individuals.

Lisa begun her business in 2013 as a sheltered workshop, which was originally located in Georgetown.  In 2017, through hard work and dedication to the individuals and families she serves, OVADS opened 6 (six) residential group homes located in Hamersville and 1 (one) licensed care facility located in Georgetown.  Due to the fast growth of the business, OVADS begun building a new sheltered workshop that provides job training opportunities, job coaching, leisure, and recreational activities for those who receive services in Brown County.  In October of 2019, a ribbon cutting ceremony was held with the Brown County Chamber of Commerce at the new workshop located at 411 Apple Street in Mt. Orab. The facility obtains work contracts through local and partnering companies in Brown, Clermont, and Adams Counties.

In March 2020, COVID19 hit our Country, our State, and our County.  OVADS worked diligently to ensure that the individuals and direct support professional staff were healthy and safe.  OVADS worked closely with the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (ODODD) pandemic team to ensure that they followed the CDC recommendations as well as the ODODD guidance practices for safe operations.  In December 2020 the Brown County Board of Developmental Disabilities Superintendent, Lena Bradford met with OVADS owner, to congratulate Lisa and her excellent staff for going the extra mile to ensure the health and safety of those they serve.

Ohio Valley Adult Day Services, LLC provides homemaker personal care services, transportation and non-medical transportation, adult day services, respite services, community inclusion activities as well as many other services through ODODD and BCBDD.  OVADS is also a certified provider for the Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities and provides job support, job coaching, and transportation for those seeking community employment.
